Review: Smooth Away Hair Removal

Good morning everybody! Its Wednesday and it just happens to be my favorite day of the week! Everything has been a bit hectic for me between my cheer squad's spirit week performance to planning out my son's baptism and reception, I haven't had time to do much beauty shizz. Needless to say, I haven't felt very cute lately. Something that isn't cute is body hair. Unless your French or a tree hugging, bra torching hippie, hairy-ness is not the bidness. I got this product as a gift from one of my cheerleaders because she had one and I didn't believe that it worked. She had it with her on the bus on our way to a game one day because she forgot to shave her legs and when she got off they were insanely smooth! I stole one from her bag and tried it out for my self and it really does work. Here's the packaging:

What's inside:
1 Large Smooth Away™
1 Small Smooth Away™
4 Large Smooth Away™ Replacement Pads
4 Small Smooth Away™ Replacement Pads

What it says on their site (getsmoothaway.com):
SMOOTH AWAY is a pad covered with superfine crystals that buff away unwanted hair, leaving your skin so soft and incredibly smooth. Works great on sensitive areas and also exfoliates as it removes the unwanted hair, leaving skin soft and smooth. Your Smooth Away system includes the large Smooth Away applicator for legs and arms, the MINI Smooth Away applicator for lips, chin and sensitive areas as well as 4 large and 4 mini replacement pads for only $14.99.

You can find these at any As Seen on TV store or Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you've ever seen the actual commercial for these, they definately make it look at lot easier that it really is. The people using them look like they are just lightly rubbing the applicator over the wanted area but in reality you need to rub a bit hard and apply some pressure. They exfoliate like a dream and leave your legs feeling super soft to the touch.

Pros:
-Painless
-Exfoliates
-No mess from razor, shaving cream, etc.
-Inexpensive
-They last a long time

Cons:
-Need to apply some pressure

In conclusion....try these things out! If you do it right, you'll love the results!

I bought these and it worked pretty well surprisingly but it burned the area above the lip and I didn't even apply that much pressure!

Oooh these sound interesting. I like the sound of it being painless.

Ops... I guess I should have pointed that out. Annabelle is actually a canadian brand, I don't know if its available elsewhere yet.

Ooh I've always wondered about these. How long does the effects last? I hate having to shave almost everyday! Haha.
