I was feeling Catty!

I actually got to dabble in my makeup the other night and I wanted to step out of the box and do something creative. I haven't done my makeup in ages and feel like I haven't done many makeup blogs. I first wanted to do a sexy pin-up look, then decided that I wanted to add some leopard print. Leopard print and bright colors are my favorite combos! I love wearing leopard print and it can never get old. Can you say leopard print is your fave color? Cuz it's mine :)

Products used (all MAC)
-Studio Tech foundation
-Select Moiturecover concealer
-Blot powder
-Accentuate Sculpt duo
-Paint pot in Layin Low
-Blanc type e/s (lid&highlight)
-Texture e/s (crease)
-Espresso e/s (outer corner&crease)
-Blacktrack fliudline
-Engraved liner (waterline)
-Red Cherry lash #106? (not sure)
-Spiked brow pencil
-Embark e/s (brows)
-Sunbasque blush
-Cherry lip liner
-Ruby Woo lipstick
-Russian Red lipglass
The leopard print was made by making random blob shapes using liquidlast liner in Molten Sol. Then I used blacktrack fluidline to finish of the print with a small liner brush (#209). I didn't really like how it turned out on my forehead...but it looks a lot better on my cheek! lol. Trial and error I guess.
Can't wait to do another look!
Until next time!

So Who's Going?

So who's going? I'm so excited about it I can pee on myself. Its going to be in LA on June20-21st. That's my birthday month so you better believe I will be celebrating my birthday there! I was planning on flying there and back cuz my flight is less than an hour.

Oh and the hotness that is Pink is planning a pow wow afterwards! Makeup then food? What else can a girl want or need?

Holler if you're coming! I'm still trying to round up the troops.

Boycott Chris Brown!

When I first saw this picture, I was shocked. I knew there were photoshopped pictures of her going around but this one has to be real. This was taken literally moments after the domestic voilence occurred. This picture is gruesome. I couldn't believe it. I pictured him maybe pushing her or hitting her maybe once. Her face looks like it took a crazy beating. No one should ever have to go through this..especially the ever so beautiful Rihanna. Her eyes are closed and I could still see the sadness and fear. I hate looking at this picture but its just reminds me of how stupid Chris Brown is. He had everything...money, fame, and a girlfriend who is just as powerful as he WAS.

Now things about Chris Brown's dark past have been surfacing. He had domestic abuse in his house growing up and people have even reported that he has anger issues. That is no excuse to do this to anyone especially a woman of her caliber. His career is over and there is no coming back from this. It's going to take a miracle for the world to forgive him for the malicious event that took place that night in LA.

Isn't this picture hard to swallow?

GO TEAM RIHANNA! I wanna get shirts made..who's with me?!

Face Wash and Makeup Remover in one!

My boyfriend is tired of my staining our bath towels with makeup that doesn't wash off with just regular old face wash. I had been using Clean & Clear's face wash and it doesn't take off all of my foundation, mascara, eyeliner, etc. It always ends up on my towels and it's such a pain to wash out. I'm super lazy when it comes to my skin care regimen (bad, I know) and I'm always looking for ways to cut out any extra steps. I use to use MAC's wipes but they got way too time consuming and I had to use two to take ALL my makeup off, then wash my face.

At our hotel in Anaheim, there were samples of this face wash in our bathroom so I thought I'd give it a try. Here are some key traits of this product:

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser®
Fresh Foaming Cleanser is a cleanser and makeup remover in one.Removing makeup before you go to bed has never been easier. This dermatologist-tested formula effectively removes dirt, oil and makeup. It even removes eye makeup, without soaps or oils that can sting or irritate the sensitive eye area. No more raccoon eyes! It rinses completely and won't leave any pore-clogging residue.Forget the excuses and get refreshingly clean skin and complete makeup removal in one step.

-Soap-free
-Oil-free
-Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores)
-Hypoallergenic
-6.7 fl. oz. pump bottle

It's really inexpensive (about $6) and cleans your face really well. It took a full face of makeup off without leaving your eyes looking blackened by mascara! My BF always makes fun of me after I wash my face and tells me I look like a certain forest animal. This wash is truly something I will keep using. It works great with oil or dry skin and leaves your skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean.

So if your like me and hate to pull out makeup remover, then this product is worth trying!

Lucky Tom Palette Look# #1

As promised to my BFF Mae, here is the end result of the look I created using only the Lucky Tom palette. It was in the rental car on our way to our hotel, so it may not be as cute as I intended. All I had was a tiny visor mirror and a good boyfriend who gave me warning when we drove over and bumps..lol. This is my very first picture tutorial so sorry if the pic quality isn't all that great. For those of you that are masters of the pic tutorial, please give me insight on how you get close ups of your eyes! I'm not very good at it yet :( Here is Mission:Lucky Tom Palette Look #1:

First, you want to apply a good all over base from lash line to brow bone. I used Scandalous Cosmetic's Eye Shadow Magnet in light. Then I took a flat firm brush and took Lucky Tom e/s (dark brown with gold flecks) and packed it all over the lid leaving about 1/3 of the inner quarter naked. Pack it on until you get it as dark as possible. If you loose any of the color later on, you can touch it up as you go by patting more product on.

Next step is to take Paradisco e/s and blend it softly in the crease with a fluffy tapered brush. Go as high as you like and make sure you soften the harsh line from that darker shadow. I usually use a swishy windsheild wiper motion all over the crease and really get the tip of the brush in the crease.
Then take Cream Royale e/s and pat it under the highlight. You can use the same flat firm brush and swipe it under the brow. I used the flat brush from the Hello Kitty set because it's a bit softer and blended with the crease color nicely.
I took Cream Royale and packed it in the inner corner as well. I placed it in that area that we left naked. This makes your eyes really pop and is a good trick when your eyes are a bit closer together.
Next step is to line your water line and lower lash line with white pencil. I used MAC's pale yellow liner. It has a little yellow hint in it and doesn't make your eyes look pink or red at all. It works similar to the facsinating eye kohl where it just wakes up your eyes. I used it as a base to the shadow I will be smudging in my lash line.

I forgot my pencil brush so I used my eye liner brush to smudge the purple color (forgot the name :X) from the palette in my lower lash line. The color payoff wasn't that great in this color so I had to dip my brush a few times to get it as intense as I wanted.

Then, hook your brows up and pop on some lashes and you are set! Eyeliner is optional because the look is already so smokey. I didn't wear any eyeliner and just used dark Duo so that my lash line looked really dark.

Here's the end product!

Other products used (all MAC):
-Studio Sculpt Foundation NC40
-Select Moisturecover in NW30
-#4 Lashes
-Beauty powder blush in Feeling
-Highlight from Accentuate Sculpt duo
-Subculture liner
-Cute-ster lipstick
-Spiked Brow Liner
-Embark e/s (brows)

Happy Valentines Day from Anaheim!

We just arrived in our telly in Anaheim and I'm sooooo tired! Our
flight left at 6:20 am and we've been up since 4 am with like 3.5
hours sleep! Although I'm super juiced to get to Disneyland, I think
an hour nap is due. I don't want to be little miss grumpy pants at the
happiest place on earth! I do feel accomplished though because I
managed to get a pic tutorial done in the rental car on the way here!
I wanted to challenge myself and only pack my Lucky Tom palette from
MAC's Hello Kitty line! I created a look today using all four shadows
and will post soon! Let's see what inspires me for tomorrows look!
These tutorials are requested by my BFF Maegan! I hope these help you
out girl!

Studio Sculpt vs. Studio Tech

So I have been wearing Studio Sculpt foundation and concealer for the past two days. I'm a regular user of Studio Tech foundation and Select Moisturecover concealer but I feel like I'm stuck in a makeup rut and do the same things everyday. I was really excited to try out MAC's newest foundation and concealer because of all the great things I have read about it. Studio Tech is one of my favorites because it has a matte finish and its super easy to apply because it's in a compact. It is self-setting and I like that because I get ready so quickly in the morning, I don't have time to set with powder. Studio Tech has a natural matte finish with meduim coverage and it doesn't feel cakey at all. Select Moisturecover concealer has a sheer finish and has a moisturizing quality to it. I love this stuff because it doesn't crease under my eyes and gives me just enough coverage without it being cakey.

Here are some key points on the Studio Sculpt:
-long-lasting medium coverage (also buildable)
-hydrating benefits because of the sodium hyaluronate, shea butter, and yeast extracts
-gel base with a creamy feel
-Vitamins C&E defend against radical damage
-SPF 15
-UVA and UVB protection
-Soft focus powders for flawless finish
-luminous satin finish

So this is day two of the trial run with this new foundation and I must say that I'm diggin it. I had it on from 5am-8pm yesterday and it stayed in place all day! Like I said before, I was nervous because it said it was so hydrating. I don't touch up during the day at all so I figured it would make me shiny and oily but it hasn't at all! It feels super light and it covers like a dream. All you really need is a pea-sized amount and it covers your whole face beautifully! The tube itself isn't very large so I'd expect it to last a while. Also, this fountaion runs a bit on the darker side so I would try one shade lighter. So far so good with this one...the concealer is pretty good too. It's very rich so you'd want to use a synthetic brush with it. MAC's 242, 249, and 194 would work just fine. Fluffy brushes wouldn't be able to spread the product out because it has a similar texture to the Studio Finish concealer. I like my other concealers personally, but if you like fuller coverage in your concealers, this one is calling your name!

Below I have some pics from this morning. Please excuse the puffiness in my eyes..I woke up at 4:40 am! I love the smooth finish of this concealer. I totally forgot to swatch it..

Until next time! I'm off to see Mickey Mouse! I hope they have Valentine's Day pins for my Disney pin collection!

Finally..My Hello Kitty Haul!

So I was soooo looking forward to going to my fave MAC counter today to see all my lovers that I've been missing since I've left. Then I got a call from my lovie Ashley and she told me that they launched Hello Kitty at Nordstrom on Monday! WHAT?! I pre-sold my items so all i had to do was pick them up. I hate not being in the know...I hate knowing things last. Anywho, heres a pic of the shizz I bought:

I will be doing a look with my goodies soon! Probably before I leave for Disneyland for Valentines Day! Yes, be jealous...my hubby wanted to suprise me with a flight out there for one night but squealed like a little school girl. lol. I had bought the Pretty Baby beauty powder but I swatched it on my hand and absolutely nothing showed up on my brown skin! I would wear it over my cream blushes but I just don't see the point in that. So needless to say, I returned that sucker and bought some new Studio Tech foundation. I was also curious to try out the Studion Sculpt foundation and concealer. I got some samples because I didn't want to buy any before I got my Pro card. I was put off by the shea butter in it because my skin gets so oily later on in the day and I'm lazy and NEVER touch up. I'll do that review with the look later on.

Things I Bought and Told Ryan I Needed:

-Lucky Tom palette

-Too Dolly palette

-Lipsticks in Cute-ster, Fashion Mews, and Strayin'

-Lipglass in She Loves Candy

-Brush set with holder (too cute)

-Glitter Liners in Girl Groove and Kitty Power

I also bought my new foundation but I'm going to be doing a review on Studio Tech vs. Studio Sculpt. Oh ya! I also turned in my empties for the B2M program and got Speed Dial, Snob, and Blankety for my nude porn star lips. lol.

Until next time!

He's a Big Boy!

On Saturday, we took our family portraits for Noelan's 6 months. I can't believe he is so big now! Just last year at this time, he was a little gummy bear in my tummy! lol. The shoot went great and we got some good shots. It was really hard to get him to smile! I felt like a crazy stage mom on the side playing peek-a-boo with him. What do you guys think of the outfits? I hate being too matchy-matchy. It funny cuz I matched Mommy and Daddy's outfits to Noelan's.

As for the makeup, I wanted to do something that would photograph well. I have a lot of red in my hair and I wanted to accent that so I wore MAC's Antiqued e/s. I love how it give my brown eyes some sparkle. Sorry I didn't take a close-up picture. We were running around all day!

Disney needs to drop Miley!

Hello Dolls! This picture just came out of Miley Cyrus and her friends mocking people of Asian descent. People in the Asian community are outraged as they should be. I'm usually not too offended when people mock Asians but for some reason, this got to me. I think Miley Cyrus hasn't done much good for her reputation in the past year or so and I think it's time that Disney rethinks her as a role model to young people. I, myself wouldn't want my kids to look up to her because she isn't much of a good influence. First it was her Vanity Fair photo shoot, then her illegal relationship with her older boyfriend, and now this? Come on Disney...you can find another just like her!

NYX Jumbo Pencils Review

From left: Rust, Oyster, Milk, Strawberry Milk, Slate, French Fries, and Black Bean.
Good morning Dolls!
This past weekend I actually did my makeup both days in order to test out my new NYX jumbo pencils. I did a look on Sat. night with Slate all over my lid and packed MAC's Print e/s on top for a dark smokey eye. I smoothed Milk under by brow bone and put MAC's Knight Divine e/s in my crease then packed Vellum e/s as my highlight.
The texture of the pencils are very creamy so smoothing them onto the skin wasn't an issue at all. They blended very well and they are pretty cheap. After I finished my eyes, I moved on to finish my skin and apply blush and lips. As I did that, I noticed that my lid color was already creasing! argh! My skin isn't oily at all so this was frustrating to me. I'd worn MAC's Luna cream color base and this happened before. I didn't want to totally write the pencils off so I thought I'd give them another go on Super Bowl Sunday.
So yesterday, I decided to try Oyster out with MAC's Stars 'n' Rockets packed on top. I tried to use less of the NYX pencil is that the shadow had just enough to grab onto. The same thing happened! It was so gross. I'll post pics of the looks I did later on today when I get home. The looks were cute, the creasing wasn't.
I'll keep the pencils in my kit for people with dry skin. They work wonders in the brow bone area, but not in the crease. Milk is a great base to use under the brow...it pops any color because its pure white. My paint pots are still the best to use. Oh ya, I got the Scandalous Cosmetics eyeshadow magnet not too long ago! I need to try that one now too!
Until next time!

Noelan is making a speedy recovery!

So my little man got his first ear infection this past week and is on
amoxicillin (pink bubblegum meds). Throughout his whole sickness, he
has never stopped smiling and laughing. He's my little soldier! From
what i've heard, ear infections are very painful for adults and he has
just been my little ray of sunshine. I've probably been more nervous
with him sick than he has! Look at him watching his Baby Einstein!
