Hey Hey Hey! I know I'm slackalackin on the postage here but I've been super busy and fatigued since that biatch aunt flow has been in town. I thought I'd put something up beauty related so here's a look I did this past weekend. My baby daddy and I wanted to go out on our weekly date so we went to the Olive Garden because we are big fans of their salad and breadsticks :) The waiter was someone I went to school with and he was super cool and I always love to see people I went to school with because I was everybody's friend. Olive Garden was messing up that day because when we got our food, BD found a little, curled, disgusting black hair in his pasta. Needless to say, we sent the crap right back and they rushed our new order. When the next dish came out, BD took a bite into it and the pasta was still rock hard! Not the bidness! I was sooooo disappointed and annoyed that we asked them to just take that shizz off our bill. Not only did they comp our bill, they also gave us a $25 gift card. It was a nice gesture, but we will be using it at another Olive Garden. Whatta rant! Sorry...on to the face!

Review: Smooth Away Hair Removal
Good morning everybody! Its Wednesday and it just happens to be my favorite day of the week! Everything has been a bit hectic for me between my cheer squad's spirit week performance to planning out my son's baptism and reception, I haven't had time to do much beauty shizz. Needless to say, I haven't felt very cute lately. Something that isn't cute is body hair. Unless your French or a tree hugging, bra torching hippie, hairy-ness is not the bidness. I got this product as a gift from one of my cheerleaders because she had one and I didn't believe that it worked. She had it with her on the bus on our way to a game one day because she forgot to shave her legs and when she got off they were insanely smooth! I stole one from her bag and tried it out for my self and it really does work. Here's the packaging:
What's inside:
1 Large Smooth Away™
1 Small Smooth Away™
4 Large Smooth Away™ Replacement Pads
4 Small Smooth Away™ Replacement Pads
What it says on their site (getsmoothaway.com):
SMOOTH AWAY is a pad covered with superfine crystals that buff away unwanted hair, leaving your skin so soft and incredibly smooth. Works great on sensitive areas and also exfoliates as it removes the unwanted hair, leaving skin soft and smooth. Your Smooth Away system includes the large Smooth Away applicator for legs and arms, the MINI Smooth Away applicator for lips, chin and sensitive areas as well as 4 large and 4 mini replacement pads for only $14.99.
You can find these at any As Seen on TV store or Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you've ever seen the actual commercial for these, they definately make it look at lot easier that it really is. The people using them look like they are just lightly rubbing the applicator over the wanted area but in reality you need to rub a bit hard and apply some pressure. They exfoliate like a dream and leave your legs feeling super soft to the touch.
Pros:
-Painless
-Exfoliates
-No mess from razor, shaving cream, etc.
-Inexpensive
-They last a long time
Cons:
-Need to apply some pressure
In conclusion....try these things out! If you do it right, you'll love the results!

Christina Aguilera Look
I was cruisin the internet looking for ideas for makeup and I realized that there is one celeb that always has a fierce face on. CHRISTINA AGUILERA! Her makeup is always flawless and her artist isn't afraid to use color. What I love about her is that she always looks so glam and she isn't afraid to wear super dramatic lashes and liner. Lashes and winged liner was my staple while working at MAC and I love it when people aren't afraid of rocking them. This is a picture of X-Tina herself at the launch party for her new fragrance. This look is super simple and pink shadows have been turning up on red carpets everywhere for the spring.
The lovely Christina Aguilera:
Products used (All MAC unless stated):
-Monistat Chafing Relief as primer
-Studio Fix Fluid in NC40
-Select Moisturecover in NW20/NW25 (mixed)
-MSF powder in Med Plus
-Sunbasque blush
-Accentuate Sculpt duo as highlight (cheekbones)
-Frostlite fluidline as base (on lid)
-NYX jumbo pencil in Milk (crease to brow bone)
-White frost e/s (lid)
-Hepcat e/s (crease/lower lash)
-Shroom e/s (highlight)
-Spiked brow pencil
-Embark e/s (brows)
-Dipdown fluidline (still not black!)
-Pale Yellow Kohl (waterline)
-Ardell Lashes
-Chicory lip liner
-Lollipop Loving l/s
-Pink Lemonade lipglass
This look is soooo much prettier on Christina Aguilera. The colors didn't photograph that bright on me but they really did pop against that NYX jumbo pencil. I like that pencil but not on my lid(I'm too greasy). If you want your highlight color to really pop, then this super white base is great, especially for that price! I could've gone more orange for the lip...MAC's Exibitionist l/s probably would've worked better. This look is totally wearable and pinks are in so try it out!

Hey Dollface!
Hey everyone! Happy muthaeffin' Fridizzle! I'm soooo excited that it's friday you don't even understand! I have a big weekend ahead of me with my cheer squad's end of the year extravaganza tomorrow that will go until sunday. I haven't been to a sleepover of this magnitude in ages. These little girls better not mess with me! I'm bringing a tube of toothpaste and some shaving cream! It's on like donkey kong beetches! Last sunday we had our annual cheerleading banquet and award ceremony at a local banquet hall and we all agreed that we would make it a semi-formal event. I was thinking...YESSSSS! I get to dress up and feel pretty for once. Ladies, tell me if I'm the only one who does this but as soon as I knew that we were dressing up, I started to picture what I would look like in my head. I knew what dress I'd be wearing, what my makeup would be like, and even my accessories and hair! My BF thinks it weird that I know all these details beforehand but I think its essential! LOL. I knew like 1.5 weeks in advance! Whatever. On to the look!
Products used (all MAC except for lashes):
-Studio Tech Foundation in nc42
-Select moisutrecover concealer in nw25
-MSF powder in Medium Plus
-White Frost e/s (lid)
-Print e/s (crease)
-Kid e/s (crease to blend out Print)
-Ricepaper e/s (highlight)
-Seedy pearl e/s (inner corners)
-Macroviolet fluidline (upper and lower lash)
-Spiked brow pencil
-Embark e/s (brows)
-Clear brow gel
-Ardell Lashes
-Dollymix blush
-Beet lipliner
-Impassioned l/s
-Miss Fizz dazzleglass
I had that bright lip on originally but was second guessing it. My BF said it was a bit much so I opted for a lighter nude pink lip. I ended up wearing 3N lipstick (forgot which launch this was in) and baby sparks dazzleglass on top. It was a very pretty combo!
Have a great weekend everyone! I'll be spending mine with teenage girls :/

I'm such a Disney weirdo.

Doesn't it just look magical? *sigh* My boyfriend aka baby daddy told me yesterday that he has a suprise for me. If you've been a follower of mine, you know that this scenario is very reminiscent of our Valentine's day celebration. He tried to suprise me with a trip to Disneyland for v-day but squealed like a little girl. Pretty much the same thing happened last night. When I walk in the door he asks, "Did you check the account today and see what I did?" I had no clue! Yesterday was probably one of the few days that I didn't check our funds. I figured that he transferred some money to our savings or something so I dropped the issue.

Costco-sized order of lashes!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was super F-A-B! Mine was eventful. We went to the California Academy of Sciences on sat. then I had my cheerleading banquet on sun. I like to spend as much time as I can with the BF and baby on the weekends because I'm out the majority of the week.
Anywho, if you follow me on Twitter, I've been asking other blogger babes where I can find good lashes for a playa price. I've just ran out of my MAC faves and didn't want to pay full price before my Pro card arrived. I've used Red Cherry lashes before and liked them and know that they are a really good price. I HATE buying lashes one at a time so I always buy them in bulk. Its always good to have enough for yourself and your clients.
I ordered them from BeautyShopOC.com. Their customer service is great and they shipped super fast! I ordered on thursday and got them monday! They have an array of styles to choose from and have good dupes for MAC lashes. Here is a pic of my new stash:
From left to right: #99, #213 (MAC #4 dupe), #43 (longer version of MAC #34), #99, #83
I was so excited to get these you have no idea. I ordered 40 pairs and they came out to like $1.30 each! Whatta steal! I may just use them from now on. Check them out!

Mission Inspiration: Look #1
So lately I've been talking about how much of a rut I've been in lately. After parting ways with the MAC world, I haven't been to motivated to do my makeup lately. It may be the early morning wakeups and a teething baby, but when I do get asked to do makeup for a client, I second-guess myself. Have I lost my mojo? Should the saying be "once you leave MAC, your makeup is whack?" Nonetheless, I have been on a mad hunt for inspiration. Seeing all you blogger beauties has really made me want to better my artistry. I haven't been able to make that much time for it because of scheduling issues, but I have been making more of an effort when I do get out.

Gave Up Black Eyeliner..
for LENT! It's been tough, but I've discovered how pretty colored fluidlines are. My BF says it isn't a legitimate sacrifice, but I argue that it messes up my whole well-being! LOL. I love how black liner finishes your makeup and makes your eyes pop. It makes me feel good. Here are a couple of looks I've done with colored liner. I don't like how it looks but I love the idea of colored liner. Does that make any sense?

Brow Tutorial
Good morning lovers! Today is my first day back to work after getting the flu for the second time in two months! I'm kicking myself in the arse for not getting my flu shot this year! Anywho, I've been asked a few times to do a tutorial on how I do my brows. I'm still chicken shizz when it comes to video tutorials so a pic tutorial it is! My new iMac has the best camera in the world so maybe I'll just man up and do that soon. My brows have gone through their own evolution these past few years. They used to be non-existent, then super dark and fierce, to a more natural look these days. A good rule of thumb for your brows is to go a shade darker than your hair color. Please excuse the lack of eye makeup in the pics. I've been feeling like poop lately and have no energy to play in my makeup...I'm lookin thru!
The first thing you want to do is take your brow pencil and trace out the arch of your brow. If you go diagonally from your pupil, this is where your natural arch would be. Make sure to lift the pencil up when you get to the tail end of the brow to get a nice taper.
Next, I take my powder shadow in Embark and my angled brush and buff the color in. I use light pressure because I like my brows to look as natural as possible. The more product and pressure you put on the brush, the bolder the brow will be. I like to define the tail of the brow before I work on the box (the thickest part of brow). By doing this, the box of the brow doesn't get over done and the brows don't look all boxy!
After getting the desired shape and color, I brush on some clear brow gel and I'm good to go! I like to think of brow gel like hairspray for the brows. I have swoopy bangs too and my right brow always looks all funky because my bangs lay over it. The brow gel keeps those suckers in place.
