Engagement Makeup and Pics :)

Good day everyone! I hope you all are making the most of your days. I've been so busy with my working out schedule, various family events, keeping up with my family, and makeup! I wanted to share the very rushed look I wore for my engagement photo session a few weeks ago. Ryan, the baby, and I were going out to San Francisco for the Pistahan (filipino festival). I figured it would be a great time to enjoy the weather and Ryan's brother, James came along to snap some pics of us enjoying ourselves. I plan on getting a few more shots for our slideshow:) As for the makeup, I wanted to go super matte because they just look a bit better in photographs. I stuck with neutrals primarily and darkened my outer corners for definition. I didn't want to look too made up and wanted my natural features to shine through.

Here's the look:

Products used:
-MAC Studio Tech
-MAC Studio Lights (LE) and Select Moisturecover Mixed
-MAC Prep+Prime Powder
-MAC Gingerly blush
-MAC Irridescent Pressed in Belightful
-MAC Layin Low PP
-MAC Blanc Type e/s (LOVE!) on lid
-MAC Wedge e/s in crease
-MAC Embark e/s in Brows, outer corner, and lower lash
-MAC Ricepaper e/s in highlight
-MAC Spiked Brow Pencil
-MAC Pale Yellow kohl in waterline
-Red Cherry Lashes
-MAC Subculture l/l
-MAC Pink Lemonade l/g

Some of my favorite shots:

I'm going for and old, vintage, but still modern look for the wedding. These were edited using the polarize app on my iPhone. I LOVE that app! It gives pictures character and I think I may edit the pic I use on my save the dates like this.

We're so in love it's sickening. LOL.

Kim Kardashian Look #3:

Another Monday folks! Another Kim Kardashian look to do too! This was a look I did a couple of weeks ago. I've gotten a couple of requests to do this look and so I finally decided to give it a go. This is definately the darkest smokey eye I've worn and it was very well received. In order for the eye to be sooooo black, I used MAC's Engraved liver as my base on my lid and then packed NYX's Black e/s on top of it. If I had MAC's Blackground PP, I would've used that but they are always sold out when I try and get one. Grrr... If you look closely at my version, it got a bit creasey on one eye because of the eyeliner.

Kim K's Gorgeous look:

My Version:

Products used:
-MAC's Studio Tech
-MAC's Studio Lights (LE)
-MAC's Prep+Prime powder
-MAC Belightful and MSF mixed for cheek highlight
-MAC Engraved e/l as base (lid)
-MAC Layin Low PP
-NYX Black e/s (lid/lower lash)
MAC Texture e/s (outer crease)
-MAC Ricepaper e/s (highlight)
-MAC Spiked brow pencil
-MAC Embark e/s (brows)
-MAC Gingerly Blush
-MAC Pale Yellow e/l (pro color/waterline)
-MAC Stripdown l/l
-MAC Moonbathe l/s
-Red Cherry lashes

Levi's Campaign Photoshoot

It's Friday! We've done it again! I wanted to share a look I did for Anna. We both had the great opportunity to be in a photoshoot for one of my good friends from high school, Ian Maxion. Here is the link to his website: Ian Maxion Photography or his Blog. He is sooooooo talented. He sings, he dances, and he gets to take pictures of beautiful people in underwear :) LOL. I hope to work with him again soon.

Anna has beautiful skin and ice blue eyes. I really wanted the blue to really pop so I did a copper eye. The focus is soley her eyes so I thickened the liner up and put some very full lashes on her. I love how it turned out.

Products used:
-Clinique Foundation and Powder
-MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer
-MAC Rubenesque PP
-MAC Twinks e/s (lid/lower lash)
-MAC Bamboo e/s (crease)
-MAC Espresso e/s (outer/brows)
-MAC Shroom e/s (highlight)
-MAC Fluidline in blacktrack
-Red Cherry Lashes
-MAC Cubic blush
-MAC Instant Gold l/g

Here's the final photo (copied it from facebook! sorry so tiny):

Giveaway Winner!

First. I'd like to thank all you beauties for participating in my lil giveaway! It was a lot of fun to see what you guys thought of true beauty and the winner was chosen by myself. I wanted to find the #1 answer that really moved me and it happened to be the first person who commented!

ANNNNDDD THE WINNER IS....RAI of laxmorena!

Here was her answer:

"I think the greatest beauty of all is someone who is beautiful on the inside and has the ability to be confident with themselves, yet still manages to possess humility. They don't look for anyone else to define what beauty is, they define their OWN beauty instead and embrace it.Because when you're beautiful on the inside, it will exude on the outside."

I love the part about possessing humility. I think that is what makes us human. More than often, we look at these celebrity creatures and think that they are "perfect" and almost kill ourselves striving for that excellence. We are too afraid to ask for help, because we think that "we're it." Beauty is something that you need to feel inside and truly believe it. I truly think I'm beautiful in my own way. Sure, I'd love to have a Kim K body, but I think I've gotten by with what I've got just fine :)

New Series:Kim Kardashian Makeup

It's a new week my loves and a new week brings us a new series! Kim Kardashian is no stranger to looking flawless and her makeup is always gorgeous. She and her makeup artist both have blogs that I follow and her looks are always different and she isn't afraid to take risks. She's no stranger to dramatic lashes and eyes and I love that about her. You can follow Kim here and her MUA Mario, here.

This was the look she wore to the Grammy's. It's a bit more toned down than what she normally wears but I think she looks so beautiful and almost angelic. She has a super frosty champagne color on the lid with a warm toned medium brown in the crease. Her lashes are also uber dramatic and her blush is very sun-kissed. I love how she kept it neutral on her volumptuous lips. She can do no wrong in my eyes!

Here is my version:

Products Used:
-MAC Studio Tech in NC42
-MAC Studio Lights in Sand
-MAC Layin Low PP
-OCC Loose Colour in Glisten (lid/inner)
-MAC Texture e/s (crease)
-MAC Modest Tone e/s (highlight)
-MAC #36 lashes (should've gone with curly, whispie lashes :/)
-MAC Gingerly blush
-MAC Irridescent Pressed in Belightful (highlight of cheeks)
-MAC Fabby l/s
-MAC Instant Gold l/g
I definately regret the lashes I chose for this look. I was too lazy to get into the baby's closet where my kit is located and fish out more glam lashes. My bad, I should've known I would need them for a Kim K look! Next week's will be more exciting!

80's Makeup

Happy hump day ya'll! This post is dedicated to all of those who were thriving in the 1980's. I'm an 80's baby all the way! I wanted to share the look I wore on my birthday for my 80's party. It was soooo much fun to listen to my 80's playlist all night and dance. Pat Bennetar, Run DMC, Grand Master Flash, Digital Underground, Prince, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and so many more were on constant play while I danced like Molly Ringwald. I did a lot of research on styles of makeup and fashion before actually finding my awesome dress at a thrift store for $9! It started as a longer dress but I cut it because I looked too frumpy in it. On to the pics:

My girls Thomishia, Moi, Maegan, and Angelie in our gear.

My bestie Mishi was rockin that banana clip and that jumper!

I felt like the rebellious prom queen that snuck drinks in the bleachers.

The makeup:

products used:

-MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC40

-MAC Select MoistureCover Concealer in NW30

-MAC MSF pressed in MedDark

-MAC Dollymix Blush

-MAC Passionate e/s

-MAC Ricepaper e/s

-MAC Kitty Groove (name?) pink glitter liner

So the other day, I walked into the baby's room where my kit is in his closet, and look who I find in my makeup! Thank goodness the only thing he was able to open was lashes. Caught him red handed! look at that crazy mischievous face:
